Great film ?

No. Not a great movie. The idea was great, original take on old theme. Much like the movie They Live, which was a great idea with some good ideas, but.. And here is where this movie, and the other, fail. -- Predictablity and dull playout of old plot lines. I didn't even bother watching the last 5 or 10 minutes, as soon as the cars started chasing around the bad guys,, I knew,, and then the endless battle (maybe hand to hand, maybe guns) between good and bad where bad looses in the end (but just nearly).. Followed by the moral of the story, which ultimately had to do with getting to know people who are differant and how nice that could be.. YA YA..Oooo. Did the big ugly guy bring the old tired guy to see his family?

And then of course, the movie was sort of comic book.-- and not a good comic at that. They did state that the Aliens had just been release from 3 years of detention? Then how come they were so acclimated to our society. It "felt" like they had been there for a generation at least. Then the original hold up scene was about as unreal as could be, complete with endless big guns, guys who didn't care who knew they were holding up a store, cops that take 10 min. to show up when gunfight at OK corral is taking place, and the easy escape out the back door. Oh Man. Not a great film, unless great comes around 2 or three times a year.
