Every show peaks and this is where the dynamics were perfect. Kids the perfect age. Adults still 30s. Roseanne working in the diner. Dan running his bike shop.

Yup, this was the peak.

I think the peak was seasons 2-5.

I agree. At about the halfway point of season 5, I lost interest. The new Becky, although fine as an sitcom actress, I wasn’t feeling it. And Jackie was a better character, or at least more fun to watch, when she was a good-time girl.
