Hypocrites

Half of the people crying over what she tweeted make and laugh at offensive comments about Trump and his family all day long.

I didn't vote for Trump and I think what Roxxane said is terrible, but I know some of you crybabies who are whining about this are the same people who laugh when someone makes fun of the color of Trumps skin. I would just like to say I think you're a whiney bitch. That is all, thank you.

reply

I agree! Equal treatment!

Let’s get Trump fired as well!

reply

two thumbs up

reply

Exactly. Trump has more than his own share of racial incidents. Also, his conduct during the Charlottesville incident was disgusting. What he said about Puerto Rico was disgusting. His "sh!thole countries" comment was disgusting and in bad taste. His notion that our country should be a Christians-only nation is unconstitutional and bigoted.

Yet...Trump supporters have absolutely NOTHING to say about that and usually just deflect to Obama and Hillary.

And who would you put in his place? It's funny I've never once gotten a response when I ask someone this question

reply

Kasich would be my pick in a bad lot.

Hell, compared to Trump I say let's get some shovels and dig up McCain. He'd still be a better president and we;d KNOW why he stinks.

reply

For the record I did not ever get into the franchise even when it started back in 1988 and still do not care (though I do think the "racist tweet" was bound to happen), prefer Andy Griffth or the Three Stooges or Bugs Bunny, AND I'M REPUBLICAN!

TJLamb0 hates America.

There's a big difference between slamming a president and partaking in racism. Deal with it.

reply

dteam6 - right ? So many people have trouble with critical-thinking and distinctions. Don't compare RACISM to other things - if you're making a point about Trump, or The View, or any other smoke-screen the right is throwing out there - make it about RACISM ... that's the issue here.

reply

Yeah, some Trumpers were trying to claim that people calling Trump a Cheeto or an orange is "racist". Last I checked, "orange" isn't a race. Basically, they're trying to find a way to rationalize what Roseanne said rather than just admit that what Roseanne did was wrong and leave it at that.

That's what I hate about a lot of Trump's base--all deflections and no accountability for Trump's actions. It's always "someone else's fault"--never Trump's.

reply

You're basically telling me it's ok to make fun of one persons skin and not the other. Exact type of fucking moron I am addressing with this post.

reply

There's a big difference between slamming a president and partaking in racism

Why?

Personal attacks intend to portray a person as inferior. So does racism. But one case is OK, the other is the biggest modern sin. Seems like not only like a double standard, but as an over-exaggerated double standard.

reply

If you can't see the fundamental difference between the two then there is simple nothing I could say to convince you otherwise.

reply

It seems that neither can you.

You can believe that there is such a difference, but you can't see why, and that's the reason you can't explain it.

What you have there is just plain old faith, mate.

reply

There's no use this idiot is too far gone. Makes you wonder how some people are able to feed themselves with such stupidity

reply

Of course the people debating him are, by their own admission, a kuku and a madman, so.....

reply

Did you realize that neither you were able to say why?

All you were able is to attack and insult, even when neither you were able to explain why you believed there was such a difference... because that's it: a belief. Again, we're talking here about PLAIN OLD FAITH.

Those Oompah thugs better watch it or they'll be blood oranges!

The difference? Trump is the President. Roseanne is an actress. Trump is a BILLIONAIRE. Roseanne has a couple million. Trump lives in the White House. Roseanne lives in Hollywood. They got rid of Harvey Weinstein, they can easily drop her.

Politics protect you. This is why there is so much corruption now. Trump is wealthier than Oprah, and has so many lawyers they would need their own coach bus to follow him. He's not going anywhere. And I hate him. But I also am a realist. He's just here, at least until the Dems can possibly retake Congress- but that is iffy. A lot of people LOVE Trump. And they will line up in droves to vote for him again. In Hollywood, it doesn't work that way. You have studio executives with shareholders to worry about. And its just easier to drop someone. That's the way it is.

reply

The love for Trump mystifies me. The only sense I can make of it is that people voted for him out of a knee-jerk reaction to PC. He promised the death of political correctness and many people, sick of the Uber-PC in our country, voted for Trump as "the last chance". The problem is...their voting for Trump to eliminate political correctness is like going for a bee hive with a nuclear warhead--it's overkill and leaves us worse off than the bee hive. Trump is so anti-PC that he's literally taking us back to the '30s.

reply

at least you said one true thing. you have hate. you also don't love anyone. love and hate do not co exist in the same person.

reply

Exactly, Mad. I agree with you 100%. I see it all the time on Twitter. Even Wanda Sykes does it.

reply

False equivalency.

reply

Well said. Why water down charges of racism until they're meaningless? I was surprised to hear her support of Black Lives Matter in an interview with Dave Rubin a few years back (around 6 minutes in).

Of course what she tweeted about Valerie Jarrett was rude. No one could dispute that. The reaction does seem out of all sense of proportion though. I'm not saying there should be no response. Nor can I really say I know what an appropriate response would be. I just know this isn't it.

Grossness is grossness. Sometimes it;s beyond humor. Other times it's funny..these times (politcally one way or other) it ain't.
