Character(s) you hate most

1) DAVID
2) BECKY #1
3) DJ

David's too much of a sensitive bitch. Becky #1 is too macho and is a bitch. And DJ is hella annoying.

The only character I "hate" - and even then, only in certain episodes - is DJ. His treatment of people at times is so horrible it's almost scary. He never had anything to offer to begin with - Becky had brains, Darlene had athleticism (and, later, art) - so for the writers to make him evil too made him, for me anyway, the least likable character of all time.

Darlene. I don't know why anyone would put up with her nasty, greasy self. the first time she would have lipped off to me with one of lame putdowns I would have punched her in the mouth and continued beating her into the ground. never understood why anyone would put up with her crap. around me, she would have worn a black eye on regular basis. She would learn her place.

1. Becky easily, but in particular the first one. She was such an uppity little brat, like when she stopped talking to Roseanne and when she was more concerned about Mark when the bike shop failed in spite of her family being broke and that b.s. she and Darlene pulled on Mother's Day. Even if Roseanne was a bitch, I truly felt bad for her in the episode. Plus, I hated her voice.

2. Mark, especially after David showed up and he devolved into a dimwitted bully to his brother and he even got D.J. in ganging up on him.

3. Beverly. I love her actress, but she was so manipulating and annoying, playing hot and cold between her daughters and her voice was hard to listen to.

Looking at the responses, I guess Dan was the best (and only) loved character.

You laugh at me because I'm different. I laugh at you because you're all the same.

Darlene and D.J. both became really obnoxious in the later seasons. Darlene had her funny moments but her snarkiness could be grating. And Sara Gilbert isn't a very good actress. People harp on Becky but Lecy had the acting chops to pull off bratty and obnoxious. Sara didn't.

D.J. is the same case. He was cute as a kid but Michael Fishman wasn't a good actor and his shenanigans became tiresome. But he got a bit better in the last two seasons when he mellowed out.

I never cared for Nancy much either. She was fine in small doses but I would have preferred Bonnie to stick around instead.
