It took forever but I have the complete set, obtained by "other means". Variable quality but free and with the correct music. It's criminal that no one can get this incredible show on the air again or on dvd.

I'd love to get a copy of the set--any ideas? Will pay any reasonable amount for decent quality.

I read that WB still wants to release this but still haven't secured all the rights.
Go vote at tvshowsondvd.com and request it on Amazon.com.
Also, request at the WB and send them an email:

Google the show you find sellers that have it (recorded off tv) that is the only way. The reason why it is not on DVD is because of music rights. Warener Brothers owns the show but not the music that was used in the show.

The show was so underated. Today I think the show would never make it on Network tv but it would find a home on Cable or HBO.

This show was so moving and so well done anybody that had a part of its making should be proud.

The problem is indeed, the music rights. Ditto Ally McBeal.

I just received an e-mail from tvshowsondvd.com alerting me to the fact that the entire series of "China Beach" is FINALLY hitting DVD in 2013!! Most of the original music will be in the episodes.

It's going to be available at first from Time-Life, with other sellers receiving it later in the year.

If you go to tvshowsondvd.com and click on the article about it, scroll down to see a marvelous photo in Robert Picardo's tweet. Many members of the cast are in the photo, including Dana Delany and Marg Helgenberger.

You don't have to be a member of the website to just read the news articles about the shows arriving on DVD.

I received the same email yesterday and I have never been so excited over a TV series coming to DVD. I will probably wait when other sellers receive it, I am sure it will be less $$ than Time/Life, but if not I will still get it. Amazing that they had to get 500 music rights for this show.

I've got my fingers crossed that they got the OK to use the Diana Ross and the Supremes song, "Reflections", that was the show's theme song.

I am still concerned if the dvd is actually coming out, there is an anoying lack of info, until I found an article on IMDB, via Vulture.com :

China Beach Is Finally Coming to DVD
17 December 2012 11:30 AM, PST | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

After what feels like a lifetime of hoping, China Beach is at long last coming out on DVD. All 62 episodes plus bonus features will be released as a complete set early next year. As with most DVD holdups, China Beach was stalled out because of music rights, but according to Time Life, the company cleared around 500 songs, meaning most of the original music will be intact on the DVD. Thus we can now turn our attention to Vulture's constant plea: Please, someone, release Sisters on DVD. We'll do whatever it takes. Sis-ters! Sis-ters! Sis-ters! »

So, that is at least one real confirmation. NOW hurry with the set!! Best present for 2013 and it's early!! HAHA
