If The Untouchables was made today...
Would it be too obvious a casting choice to have Liam Neeson play Jimmy Malone (a tough as nails, super-badass, middle aged Irishman)?
shareI don't think it would have been any more obvious than it was in '87 with Connery as Malone.
Except that Connery is Scottish and didn't bother changing his accent for this role.
