Worst movie I've ever seen

Been a while since I have actually sat down and watched this but we started to watch it in one classes a while back. Basically the worst movie I have ever seen. How can it be so highly rated? Do people really watch this and say "yep, that was an awesome movie."

One absolutely terrible scene I remember is the agents looking down on a bridge where alcohol is being transported. Then they all get on horses and charge the bridge. The gunfight is completely ridiculous and the music makes it 100 times worse.

reply

It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, especially with the high ratings it has received. It was just alright.

See. More. Movies.

Either you haven't seen many movies or you're mentally retarded.

I understand people have their own opinions and we must respect them, but geez man the worst movie you have ever seen? I am wondering what you are basing this off of? I am seriously wanting to know what movies you actually watched that you think are superior to The Untouchables?

Accept what is, let go of what was, have faith in what will be

If this is the worst movie you have ever seen, you have been living in a trailer with all the windows closed and the doors locked.

Watch a few more movies, like from the 90s. Good grief. Get out a little more.

I bet OP's idea of a great movie is the TRUE snooze fest known as 2001: A Space Odyssey or The Usual Suspects. The former has like 10 minutes of dialogue and the rest of the time you look at a ship. The latter is a long, drawn out story. Yet both are in the top 250.

reply

Both are better than The Untouchables. It may not be the worst movie ever but the OP is right that it's very overrated. It's dated, poorly acted and directed in places, with yes, a score that can be intrusive and out of place. You only have to look through this board to see all the criticism it receives, yet somehow stands on the brink of the top 250 with an 8 rating. Strange.

Usual Suspects is over-praised beyond belief.

Sounds more like nitpicks and not serious flaws that render it "garbage." I mean, holy *beep* if every movie from the 80s received this kind of scorn as on this board, then none would seem that great anyway. But that's IMDb for you.

I couldn't agree more with your comments, it puzzles me why people love this cheesy garbage, one of the worst, possibly the worst.

Even if you hate it, there are plenty of movies every single year, that anyone would find worse.
