I guess the BAFTAs and Grammys were wrong for giving him the win and the Globes were for nominating him.
I don't think "The Untouchables" is one of his career best, but I do think it's a great score that perfectly fits as a neo-pulp noir yarn with the right flourish of the heroic. My favorite piece, aside from the primary theme, is Al Capone's theme because it perfectly reflects the decadent arrogance of Capone and his lifestyle. It feels like something, if he had that kind of imagination, Donald Trump would play at one of his rallies to get the crowds excited.
