Does Robocop have a soul?
Another way to ask this question : Is Robocop the resurrected Officer Murphy, or is Robocop a robot that somehow got the memories of Murphy?

shareIt's more complicated, Robocop is Jesus.
Paul Verhoeven on the topic:
"The point of 'RoboCop,' of course, is it is a Christ story. It is about a guy that gets crucified after 50 minutes, then is resurrected in the next 50 minutes and then is like the super-cop of the world, but is also a Jesus figure as he walks over water at the end."
apparently or a form of it.
shareSouls do not exist. Neither does heaven!
sharePretty sure that Alex Murphy actually died when he was killed by Clarence Boddicker & friends. His soul went to heaven or hell, depending on if he was saved or not. "Legally he's dead, we can pretty much do whatever we want." If I recall, Alex & family were members of the Catholic church so it's possible.
The cyborg that emerges from OCP, uses Murphy's brain, which contain his memories, but unfortunately is not Alex Murphy actual (the soul), but only a system that is using the brain to act self aware & sentient.
The Satan will lie to you and tell you that you don’t have a soul and that there is no Lord and no Heaven, and so will smug little assholes who are about 14 years old and have no life experience at all. Both The Satan and his minions want to drain you of hope and faith. With hope and faith, all things are possible. Without them, nothing is, which is what the wicked want.
shareWhat’s a soul and how do you know it exists?
