Wallace Shawn as Vizzini

Interestingly how my recollection has Wallace Shawn as Vizzini as a pretty dominating character, and yet upon rewatch he is in just 4 scenes and truthfully holds a small and not that important part of the story.

As I just watched it, I kept thinking he would return. Now that I am thinking about it, this too could be said about Mandy Patinkin as Inigo Montoya. Indeed he was more crucial to the plot, but at the end of the day his presence was much less than my childhood memory had him. Boat, sword... and escape.

Ultimately I suppose this is a compliment to these fine actors.

He gets whacked!

I find that inconceivable

It's a little disconcerting there...he just falls out of the still frame. That's it & that's all.

Well you could say this about him being significant: He did bring Inigo & Fessick together.
