I have never considered this a "chick flick". And I still don't. Most of the other movies you list, I'll agree with, but this was never meant for just women that some men can enjoy. Instead, this was made as family fare. In much the same way that Field of Dreams is not just for men, this was always meant to be a story to transcend gender and age.

Dirty Dancing seems to be one. I have yet to meet a single male who likes it.

Heck yeah. I never met a guy who liked that movie (or even find it watchable).

It has one of the most annoying soundtracks as well.
