Why didn't they terminate the King?

He sure deserved it.
They only terminated that dude from Spinal Tap?

reply

Because the King was a kindly old man who never harmed Buttercup.

Can't stop the signal.

I think the OP meant Prince Humperdink. There was the scene when it said the king had died and that the Prince and Buttercup had married. I think that's where he got tripped up. It was revealed to be a dream. You're right, the king was still alive on the say of the wedding.

The guys foreseeable future was ruined and they wanted him to live with that.

My car is fast, my teeth is shiny, I tell all the girls they can kiss my heinie!

reply

Yeah but I always wondered what was to stop him from waiting a few years, picking up another common girl and cracking on with his plan?

Hey! You're not old enough to drink! Now go and die for your country!!!

reply

They wanted him to live in disgrace. He lost the princess as well as his top henchman. He probably lost all credibility with his people too, so his reign is over.

reply

He probably had to flee to Florin or Guilder or Mark or Francs or Yen or some place like that.

reply

I think he ended up living in Simoleon.

reply

The buck stops there, I guess.
