skipped through about half of the movie and still didn't miss anything
shareI honestly didn't care much for it either. I usually love Satanic/supernatural horror movies and like the other John Carpenter movies I've seen but for some reason this one didn't resonate with me. I found it to be dull, the plot was rather confusing, and it was a chore for me to finish. This just wasn't my kind of horror. No offense to John Carpenter because he's still a great director.

The thing that really upsets me is the cast. Everyone is too old to play a real student. Real students are young people and not hairless morons.
You need to learn to view things in the context of the era they were made in. I mean, who cares if we are not living in the eighties anymore? That doesn't negate anything in this film. That is like saying you can't enjoy something because it is old. I disagree wholeheartedly. Also, students come in all sorts of ages in regards to college, so I disagree with you on that as well.

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.
The students in this movie were PhD students, not college freshmen.
