Replace Universal Monsters with the horror icons of the 80s and you got one of the greatest movies ever made.

Jason, Freddy, Pinhead, Chucky, Leatherface and maybe the Leprechaun.

Don't even consider Michael Meyers as he's still taken seriously, and his movies are still making money.

The slasher verse should have happened! Freddy vs Jason was a hit, imagine if the sequel with Ash got made. Would have been awesome. Also a shame the Pinhead original ending never happened.

It's kind of silly and childish but what can be said? Crossover films are cool.

I don't think I'd go that far, but this is rather what I think needed to be done to make the recent two-part film version of Stephen King's It actually work. Obviously with all the different "franchises" owned by jealous guardians, this was never going to happen though...
