REMAKE SET FOR 2011

Set for 2011? They better get a move on.

Nope its 2013 and it hasn't been released yet.

I am really glad they are remaking it and I Hope it gets made and has a full theater release world wide.

the original Monster Squad is an amazing movie and it deserves to be seen by everyone.
The Original deserves to get more fans. To get more people to see it and buy it.

unfortunately that only happens with remakes nowdays. People hear something is being remade and they go and check the original. It happened with Fright Night, it has happened before.
People hear about a remake on the news or magazines, online, and they will learn about the original movie.

At this point all a remake can do is give the original more exposure.
Will the remake suck, probably. Will I watch it? only on DVD, (I wouldn't go to the theater for it) Would it be tame? probably...

But the good thing about this is that it might create a buzz about it and more people will finally realize this amazing movie exists.

That's how I see it. I HATE remakes and crappy prequels. I hate Hollywood, But most of the time remakes are a good way to give exposure to the old movie.

One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them.

I sure wish they would remake it already, would be fun.
