James Spader

Not at all. What makes you feel it was a bad career move? There is nothing to indicate it hurt his career in any way. He has become more successful than most 80's actors who were big at the time this was made. It was just a harmless, goofy role that was probably a lot of fun for him to do.

I love James Spader - this is what I first saw him in.

He was absolutely awful.

Although he played an obnoxious asshole in this and I've never been much of a James Spader fan, I loved every second he was on screen. His weedy character was great fun to watch.

He was just starting out - choices were probably slim. Also he did a good job

He was hysterical. Quite a difference from what you expect of him, especially these days.

IT IS THE ROLE THAT CEMENTED SPADER'S PLACE IN MY HEART FOREVER.
