What period was David and the gang from?

this was probably asked before but I always wondered what period David and his buddies were transformed into vampires? Based on the Garlic dinner scene you could tell that Max had been around for centuries with his mannerisms, but it was hard to tell with the others. They blended in with the modern 80's fashion pretty well, which tells me they were fairly new.

I bet you wish your nose was a dick so you could *beep* butts.

Their was a sequel planned when grandpa was a boy in the late 1800s. The lost boys were turned around that time by Dracula. Max meets up with them at the end.

Them being turned around the same time "The Lost Boys" from a certain book were introduced is a funny and neat idea.

On that note, to me their clothes give early 20th century vibes. — just with an 80s twist. ;) Even Laddie's jacket looked pretty old fashioned, although he obviously was taken pretty recently as the milk carton suggested. Then again, they could have gotten their clothes from anywhere (anytime).

But also when David mentions the big one that hit San Francisco, idk maybe it’s just me but it kinda sounds like he took over the place not long after (it’s kinda reaching though, lol). Plus for what it’s worth, a bunch of the stuff they had in their lair looked like it was collected over many decades. Now with that said, IF they were turned decades ago, then safe to say he and the gang learned to “blend in” with the latest fashion and such as the years went on. They were (might have been) from a different time but they were obviously still teenagers; not hard to buy they could’ve grown with the modern world, if you will.

This seems likely. They were turned when they were young and still act like teenagers. Teens tend to stick with what's faashionable, so it's likely they kept up with everything.

I agree. I think David in particular has around since at least the early 1900s. The Jim Morrison picture makes me think some of them were around in the 60s too. Laddie was new, probably to appease Sky's maternal instinct. The others could have turned at anytime.

It would be interesting to see a story of them over the decades actually.

Laddie seemed to be wearing a uniform. I suppose it is the uniform of military academy for boys, or the uniform of a school marching band. So maybe he was snatched when onl his way home from band practice, or was running away from a military school.

Or maybe the vampires killed a boy to get the uniform for Laddie.
