Gaping plot hole. How has this never been recognized?

When Murtaugh had Riggs over for the first dinner the kids challenge Roger to come up with a rap. There is no way that a middle-aged cop could have a freestyle rap game going on like that. Just no way.

I feel ripped off now.

Definitely not a plot hole as confirmed by millsey. Murtaugh was making fun of his kids. He wasn’t really trying to rap. That’s why the kids were poking back at him.
