When they all get fired and the big boss comes out of his office and tells that guy to think of it as taking an early retirement, he also tells him that if there's anything he can do, just let him know and the guy replies 'Well, I certainly hope you die soon'
William Hurt (Tom): "More and more lately.... I've been watching you, in action, and seeing.. all your...... energy--I've been wondering, what it'd be like to be inSIDE all the energy"
I don't know if it's been said, but when Aaron whispers to Jane, "Laugh so they don't think I'm dying inside." It's funny, but also really telling of how depressed he feels, and I know I've felt like that before.
"Well, I hope you certainly die soon" is the funniest line in the film. I also find it to be one of the funniest lines ever in any movie I've seen. I can't help but laugh every time I see it.
Jane: (talking on the phone between feeding Tom lines)...WHAT?!?!? How can you talk to me about parking problems?!?!?...
Jane yells at the person and we see Tom jump in surprise and Jane finishes by yelling ...you'll DO IT!!! OR I'LL FRY YOUR FAT ASS!!!! GOODBYE!!!! and bangs down the phone with a clang.
One of the heads then mutters, I had no idea she was THIS good.
Another scene...when Jane and Tom go out for the first time...Jane is chattering away as usual...I like the line of ...then they go on and claim White House sources say...total bull$÷% or something to that effect.
It illustrated how perceptive and sharp Jane is...I'm like her in that I take everything I read with a grain of salt rather than just blindly buying everything in print or the telly hook, line, and sinker.
