Is this the last great Star Trek TV show?

All the old era shows are great. TNG, DS9, Voyager and even that goofy ENT.

I think so too. After watching Discovery I’ve come to appreciate Enterprise more. I just still can’t go through that theme song. 😅

Hahaha, I thought Enterprise was the closest any of the series came to anything I'd want to watch regularly, and yeah ... that opening theme song, ugh. Let's just say I became a skilled expert at fast forwarding through that opening to the exact starting frame of the given episode.

Just watched the first season of Picard and was semi-revolted how whenever Picard would do one of his trademark Picardianisms all the other characters would look at each other like he was a little kid with a "isn't that cute" look. Revoltingly saccharine, but I did watch it.

DS9 is probably the best. It was at the peak of special effects (not over done) and a good balance of arc story telling and single story eps. Though it really doesnt get great until season 3. Voyager is good as well. Especially starting in season 4.

I just didn't like many of the characters on DS9. It took me years to get around to watching this show because of that. Although Garak is one of the best characters on any Trek series ever. Other than that, Worf was pretty good, but no one else really appealed greatly to me.

I didn't DS9 at the time, but watching lately I appreciate it more. Voyage, no way. I don't like the characters, especially Janeway. Nothing good about that show except Jeri Ryan in the cat suit, IMO.

ST:TNG was great. The subsequent ones are good. Big difference between good and great.

ST:TOS was the last "great" Star Trek TV show.
There are a few good episodes in the other series, but they don't measure up in my mind.
If you liked the original series I think you might enjoy Star Trek Continues on You-Tube,
a non-profit labor of love. There are also some other tribute efforts on You-Tube as well.

TOS is the weakest of them all.
