Was this show intended for the mentally challenged?
I mean it's the only logical explanation.
shareIf you think the show was sooo horrible, then please tell me why it lasted for EIGHT SEASONS and still has a spinoff show!
"Horrible" shows don't last 8 seasons, they get canceled after 1 season.
Mentally challenged people need something to watch don't they?
shareUmm you do realize that this show is fictional right?? Not a true documentary on someone's life.
Saying Full House is stupid b/c it's unrealistic is like saying Harry Potter books is for the mentally challenged since wizards are unrealistic.
- same implication for popular shows like Stranger Things, Once Upon a Time, The Walking Dead, and action superhero movies!
- Are you saying that all comic book, action movie, and Disney fans are mentally challenged b/c their material is "unrealistic"?
This show paints an alternate reality where everything is happy, sunshine and rainbows. It creates the illusion that all life problems can be solved in 22 minutes and it is a very dangerous idea for children. Anyone who likes this show is seriously fucked in the head.
shareWell every action and animated movie paints a similar picture. Are you saying that no one should be fans of Spider-Man, avengers, batman, Harry Potter, etc since none of the above are realistic what so ever?
shareIt's a light-hearted sitcom. However, they did deal with all sorts of issues. Starting with the death of the mother. Ending episodes on a high note is uplifting and good for the soul. I assume you're just trolling, but I still think tv could use more of these types of shows these days.

Are your kids also not allowed to watch action/superhero movies, Disney films, or read Harry Potter books for the same reason?
shareI have no problem with that because they are obviously fantasy, Full House takes place in the real world and doesn't tell the audience that its an overly distorted and simplified version of how the real world works. It tells children that the world is a happy place where all problems are solved within a 20 minute time period when the vomit inducing happy music starts to kick in. It's damaging for children and I am working to get this disgrace of a TV show banned from television
shareThere was once a 2 part episode with a problem that took 40 minutes to solve so your wronger rightt there ya big ol baddy!
shareThis show has dealt with serious issues plenty of times.
1. First off, the girls had to deal with losing their mother at a young age and it was a struggle. In one episode, Stephanie felt left out during the mother/daughter sleepover b/c she didn't have a mother to take her.
2. Stephanie had to witness a classmate dealing with child abuse which is scary and serious for any child.
3. DJ was peer pressured to drink, thankfully she made the right decision not to, but it's still a serious adolescence issue.
4. The family dealt with the death of their great grandfather and Jesse had the most difficult time dealing with it.
5. In "Stephanie's Wild Ride", Gia and the boys were in a car accident that could have killed them and that issue obviously wasn't solved in 30 mins since they were hospitalized.
7. Jesse broke both his arms in a motorcycle incident and that defently wasn't solved in 30 mins since most ppl take weeks to recover.
8. Joey had many romantic relationships that didn't last. That was never solved since he pretty much stayed single througout the rest of the show.
There you see, the show isn't just based on a family being perky and perfect, they dealt with realistic issues as well.
For me it wasn't that it was unrealistic. It was just way too goody goody everything is sunshine and roses family friendly for me.
shareBut several times, they dealt with dark issues as well
shareIs it better than Home Improvement
shareThis show used to air in syndication in the late 90's when I was a child and I always used to get the remote control out quickly to change it. It was a dreadful show. Watching bits of the show as an adult on youtube just to gain some perspective on it's past popularity I am blown away. Even in those distant times how could such a horrible show remain on the air for nearly a decade and now it has it's retarded cousin of a reboot (brought to you by nostalgia). I will never understand.
