Nobody said hockey players were dumb. I just rarely see a hockey player as well-spoken and effusive as the way Swayze portrayed Sutton.
Of course there are always exceptions, but IMO, Lowe's shy awkwardness was more typical of the personalities I see in the sport.
Hockey players express themselves better on the ice.
