This movie reminds me of Into The Night with Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Pfeiffer. And to me, Into The Night is better. Even though Goldblum and Pfeiffer have absolutely no chemistry lol.

shareAll the obvious ones have been mentioned already but I thought I'm mention a few more that aren't really on the same level but you might enjoy nonetheless.
The Legend of Billie Jean - It's really cheesy but I still have a soft spot in my heart for it. It's mid-80s and it's got that road trip vibe and they're on the run so that's what made me think of it.
Vamp - Also mid-80s, starring Grace Jones as a vampire stripper. Again, not on the same level as Something Wild, but I've heard it described as a rip-off of After Hours with vampires so that's why I mentioned it.
True Stories - It's not really that dark and but it does have that quirky 80s feel to it. David Byrne is in it and it's the film adaptation of a book he wrote.
Definitely "Desperately Seeking Susan" and "After Hours."
