Spare us. This thing was billed as the next big "Star Wars", but was some weird-a** idiotic movie about kids on skates. Mad Max meets 1970s roller derby meets those 1960's bikini movies.

Seriously, it's well shot junk that doesn't have any of the scope, depth, much less story and special effects of "Star Wars", but scum bag producers wanted the ticket buying youth to believe that was going to be.

It's one of the bit cliches about Hollywood encapsulated; a bait and switch for the purpose of teaching the youth of America some obscure psychological lesson, and maybe expose them (in a poorly executed sci-fi way) to kids they may or may not meet in their life times.

Take off the skates, give the kids some guns, add a few monsters (maybe a sex scene or two) and you got yourself a movie.

Nope, yopu would just get another braindead ultradark idiotic movie! Solarbabies is only released on DVD, cause it was ..... cheesy trash from the better kind. As bad that it became a little good again :) .
