I didn't like the scene where Teddy's Dad kicks George's little sister's dog. I mean I know they don't really show it but still they shouldn't show a part like that. also he should have just made them get the dog off the land instead of kicking it. also they should have turned him into the police for kicking the dog, because thats animal cruelty. anybody else that didn't like that scene?
shareI simply adore animals. But movie is a movie. If someone shows cruelty to animals, it is the same as if he beats his wife, if he helps blind person cross the street, if he throws old bottles in a brook, if he admits he made a mistake though nobody noticed, or (if a female) smokes though pregnant etc. It all builds a character, shows us what a certain person is like. If some action, some behavior seems disturbing or offensive, it enables us to create our attitude, our image of the character.
If you make a movie about a nazi, won't you show murders, gas chambers, deportations just because they would disturb someone? They are supposed to! How would you understand who he was, what were the circumstances and explanation for his behaving? Some people wouldn't kill and torture if war didn't happen. But some of them would kick animals instead. Some of them do. And if you wan't to show a character, you must show the little things he does, both pleasant and offensive. Otherwise movies would be empty and pointless.

Maybe if you had hit the Money Train board and voiced similar concerns about bad guys dousing subway booth employees with gasoline and setting them on fire, people wouldn't have actually gone out and done that for REAL.
If movies didn't depict a life more diverse and interesting than yours, every movie would be as dull as dishwater, and no one would watch. It's fantasy. If people choose to imitate what they see in a movie, they are dimwitted retards who would have done something bad or stupid anyway.

i dont support animal punting but it was hilarious. the dog was already the ugliest animal ever created and after the beating it had to wear that satellite dish around its neck and it had band aids all over. i love this movie
shareI always found that part funny. It's funnier now after seeing Anchorman when Jack Black kicked a dog over the bridge. But seriously, I hate animal cruelty but in movies where it's supposed to be funny I just laugh....

shareeh, i didnt like it either, but what would they do without it? they then wouldnt have had to go to the hospital and watch dogs push each other around on carts. then where would the revenge with the dolphin with rabies come from? the little girl cant just devour teddy's dad for no reason.
