Teddy Just Forgets About His Ferrari???

I'm sure this has been addressed before how did Teddy not commit a homicide after finding out that Hoops' gang cut up his 'Rari to win the race?

After Hoops wins the trophy, he confronts Teddy and makes a deal where a trade is made: the trophy (which Teddy and his dad need so the grandpa doesn't cut off their trust fund) for the house (which Hoops and Cassandra need). Hoops even says something like, "That way, everybody wins."

Sure, but what about the damn Ferrari? Teddy nearly impaled Hoops after their first meeting when Hoops accidentally touched the car after Teddy skidded to a stop right behind him. He obviously was nuts about the car through the whole movie and hated Hoops, so all of a sudden he's just cool with the fact that the car got cut up???

Loved the movie, that's the only part that didn't add up.
