after reading so many positive reviews and seeing the solid imdb review score, i was confident i was making a good decision putting the movie on tonight for some friends. i really wish i'd of watched it beforehand. this movie is terrible. beside the few unintentionally funny parts, there was little to take away from it.

my point is, if you like the movie... great, but please, you will cause severe damage to your relationships if you recommend this movie without a disclaimer.

This is an outstanding film!No filthy language,no rappers,just a fine effort.

"The Hitcher" (1986) version is considered a classic of the genre, by many people. And if you see it in it's proper screen ratio on a large tv it is also quite beautiful to look at. It isn't a movie to watch with a group of friends. It just isn't that kind of film. Incidentally, I like your screen name; "The Boys Next Door" is one of my all time favorites.

This movie sucked! There was so many WTF moments that was just unreal. I thought Ryder was a ghost for a while since he was doing some unbelievable tricky things. IMDb users are full of idiots, they somehow are mostly hipsters who fancy older movies.

Terminator Genisys received a 6.8 and this got a 7.7? That goes to show how IMDb voters are. This movie was a clear 4 at best.

This movie is horrible, but it is entertaining to some degree with the unintentionally funny/ridiculous parts as you have pointed out. Everyone in the move had an IQ under 75 except for the hitcher, who had an IQ at the genius level.

Sort of reminds me of Commando, the delightfully ridiculous Schwarzenegger movie that was rushed out after The Terminator for the sole purpose of allowing Arnie to kick some ass all over the place and dish out one liners. Glaring continuity errors, cartoon characters all over the place, but a must watch. Over and over.

Just because you have poor taste in movies and would'nt get a great thriller like this one if it came up and bit you in the ass, don't make your opinion right. As a matter of fact you could not be more wrong. Opinions vary but yours is just stupid.
