Why does Christopher Lambert sound like Tommy Wiseau?
He sounds ridiculous.
shareLol 😂 So true.
shareHe's Swiss basically even though he was born in the US. Remember, they speak 4 different languages in Switzerland + English. It gives you a weird accent.
I worked with a guy who spoke German and French evenly as a kid. He learned English later in life. You couldn't pick his accent to save your soul. Mein Ota was raised speaking Swabian German and Serbian. He didn't learn English until his 20's. He sounded like The Count from Sesame Street. Seriously, straight up, The Count.
Some people have weird accents.
The funny thing...and I don't really care , because the movie rocks...is that you have a Spanish/Egyptian character that sounds totally Scottish...and a Scottish Highlander character that sounds French...proper accents are for mere mortals.
shareFortunately I don't have a picky ear for accents. Depardieu's accent didn't bother me at all in Ridley Scott's 1492: Conquest of Paradise. Columbus was supposed to be a foreigner, so big deal. But I did realize when I recently rewatched the movie that some viewers may have problems with understanding what Columbus is saying without subtitles.
shareYes, the accents are possibly the worst in the history of film!
Yet the film works anyway, because you can't possibly apply normal human rules to Immortal, and it's got a Queen score and mega-hot guys.
He's grew up in France and Switzerland. And he's trying to do a Scottish accent.
