They all seemed to age differently, especially Ramirez and Kurgan who had the biggest age gap so if all immortal why didn't they all grow to the same age before stopping?
Or did the all have to die first like McCloud did then thats the age they stopped ageing from?
It’s explained in the series that immortality is triggered at the time of their first violent death. So if one falls off a cliff and dies at 18, they come back to life and that’s what age they appear from then on. If one doesn’t get killed somehow until 40 or 50, then they look that age.

shareThis was my assumption even before the series came out. What I always like about that is that's how bad ass Ramierez is. He lived to a pretty spritely age before he kicked off. Showing how wise and crafty he was even before becoming Immortal. It was also a stumbling block to winning the prize that he could never overcome. His own age would never allow him to defeat someone like the Kurgan in the end. Thus, his epic quest for a young kid like Connor to hone into the ultimate weapon. Best movie ever.
