Were you a real 80's kid..well test yourself.

You know you are a true child of the 80s when...
You never questioned why the A-Team were always imprisoned in places that had sufficient tools to build an armoured tank.
Dungeons & Dragons was your favourite cartoon.
Your lunch times were spent perfecting swan dives and backspins.
You fell out with friends during heated arguments about the relative merits of Matt & Luke.
You owned, or wanted a "Frankie says..." T-shirt.
Cerise pink, electric blue and banana yellow have ever featured in your wardrobe or make-up collection.
You ever did the top toggle of your coat up around your neck without having your arms in the sleeves, and knew you looked like a super-hero.
You remember when the A-Ha video was the pinnacle of modern technology, and you can still sing all the words.
Parachuting Action man was your favourite toy.
Your best party dress was either a ra-ra or puff-ball skirt.
You ever owned a thin, black leather tie (and were proud of it), or worse it was patterned like a piano.
You wondered why a popular kids TV programme told you to "Turn off your TV set and go and do some less boring instead".
You cried at Zammo's funeral.
You wanted to be either Nancy Drew or the Hardy Boys.
You ever said "It's my ball, and if I can't be Kevin Keegan I'm going home!"
You remember the aerobie scare.
You have ever po-goed or space-hopped.
You remember when Keith Chegwin & Maggie Philbin were the hottest romantic couple.
You wondered why your walkie-talkie didn't have the same range as those in the Red Hand Gang.
You were shocked by the controversial plot lines in Degrassi Junior High.
You tried to set up a "Famous Five" or "Secret Seven" gang with your school friends.
You tried to convince your Dad to fit a strip of red lights on the front of his Capri so it looked like KITT.
"Ca-vey Wa-vey!" means anything to you.
You ever had more than 10 sweets in a 10p mix-up.
Not only did you wear luminous clothing, but they were mismatched fingerless gloves and towelling socks.
You remember when Betamax was at the cutting edge of technology.
Conveyor belts regularly carried washing machines, deep-fat fryers and a cuddly toy.
You could have got away with it if it hadn't been for those meddling kids.
(Girls) You owned a pair of Pixie Boots, generally worn with leg warmers.
(Boys) You owned a pair of pale grey slip-ons, generally worn with white towelling socks.
Shiny grey flecked suits.
You rolled the sleeves of your suit jacket up
Ooh, you could crush a Grape!
You went to school with Pogo Patterson, Gripper Stebson, and Ro-land.
Fingermouse.
You were proud of your picture appearing in the Gallery.
You remember Look In magazine, and when it was only 20p
You wondered why you and your mates never encountered diamond thieves whilst out on your BMXs.

I used to wake up at 6 AM every saturday and after school i used to run home to watch He-Man and Thundercats.

Born in '87. Only recognized about 5 of those shows/cartoons/movies. Hey, what about The Magic School Bus? That wasn't listed. Or was that a '90s show? Don't remember.

willo the wisp was so hilarious. i loved 80's shows. i was born in the 70's, so i am a definate 80's child. i think the shows were so much creepier and cooler then. although, the WIGGLES is pretty creepy...

I was also born in 1983 and it is sad to say it but I remember alot of stuff from that decade especially the T.V shows and that is a great list but you also forgot The Wonder Years that was my favourite show and I watched from start to finish. I do remember the clothes and the toys the care bears and cabbage patch dolls and ET dolls and ALF dolls and stawberry shortcake.

I was an 80's child, and remember most of the stuff on the list. My son has a Tugs video, it's a bit like Thomas with boats which is why I think he likes it.

What about Bettys Bunch?! And what was the name of that wierd badly dubbed show about those kids running away from some crooks, something to do with models of the eifel tower? What the hell was that?!

whats that show with a dog that was done in the same style as Inspector Gadget ans Heathcliff. All i remember is i think IG made a cameo on the tv and a cat would annoy the main dog character?

Why are the Smurfs on there? They're 90s surely?

I'm an '85 kid, so I get confused between 80s and 90s but what about Gordan the Gopher? Morph (Hart's Art)? Jim'll Fix It!?

The Smurfs were on in the '80s. I would also put Transformers on the list of '80s cool cartoons.

Who remembers a show called "The Greatest American Hero?" It was on for two years in the '80s.

I was born in 1977, so I am most definitely an 80's kid. Does anyone remember when MTV was nothing but music videos, and everyone said, "I want my MTV"? What about the Bangles? (Walk like an Egyptian; Manic Monday; Eternal Flame) What kid didn't want to learn how to play the opening guitar solo from Aerosmith's "Sweet Child of Mine"? And who remembers when cell phones weighed about five pounds and had an antenna that was about five or six inches long. When I was a kid, the Sony Walkman was one of the coolest gadgets a kid could own. Imagine it, a stereo tape player that you could actually wear on your belt. It was the Ipod of the 80's.

They had a reunion in 04 I think where they recorded a last show and closed down the set forever. Pretty sad but I don't think Moose was there. They don't show the shows anymore because of so many kids that worked on the show, The royalties would be too difficult to figure. I think Nick can only re-broadcast.

Another '87 kid, Yeah, I was born then too, so I guess that makes me more of a 90s kid as I turned 3 in 1990, plus I remember more from that decade. I recognised alot more than 5 though as I guess alot of them continued to air well into the 90s I guess ... I'm guessing the original poster is from the UK(like me) as they mentioned Going Live which I remember had Philip Schofield presenting and that puppet Gordon the Gopher, showing shows like The Racoons among others... good times.

Glad someone remembered The Moomins as that show ofter gets forgotten ... I think The Magic School Bus was more a 90s cartoon, but I could be wrong.

I was born in 1981. At best I'm a teen of the late 90s, young adult of the late 90s early 21st century. I barely remember the 80s.
