What the heck was with that ENDING?? *spoilers of course*
Why did BB 'come out' of Samantha??
Was that a hallucination or what?
I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
Penfold, shush.

The finale wasn't Cravens idea, the President of Warner Brothers came up with that ridiculous ending. Was it a dream or reality? I haven't got a clue.
It's all a deep end.
Yeah, it was SUPPOSED to just be a dream sequence. I'm not sure how the movie was actually supposed to end.
shareYes it was stupid - I don't know what the original intention was, I just pretend it was a dream because I like the rest of the movie but that ending ruins it

The robot face was different from what BB originally looked like. Perhaps BB's chip information inserted into the brain had secreted something close to what BB originally looked like. It's safe to say that it may had been a dream, but it's also possible that inserting information to a brain that already had information might had triggered something. Maybe.
shareI can understand 'Samantha' coming back to life due to some kind of effect from the chip, but the robot coming out of her body was too silly and I thought it was just a fun ending or another dream sequence, and that we'll never know.
shareYeah h agree. Should've had Paul waiting up in a mental asylum
shareIt was a tacked on ending; from what I understand this film was plagued with studio interference, as Wes craven wanted to tell more of a dark love story, but since Warner Bros. considered him a horrormeister, they requested him to film some bloody dream sequences: one in which Sam is attacked by her father in bed, and this one.
