Why no sequel?
I wish there was a sequel.
shareThey won't be a sequel. He threw away the chance to star in Beverly Hills Cop and instead use some of that script to create this pile of steaming heap.

He could've had a lot of sequels to his movies
Like 2 more Cobras, 2 more T&C, 2 more DM
Cannon had every reason to milk this movie as a series. Even though it grossed several times its budget and heavy product placement, that still wasn't enough to make a sequel. Considering Stallone had a relationship with the company after shooting another movie for them, he could have very well launched multiple Cobra sequels with significant creative control.
But being married Brigitte Nielsen can mess with a man's mind.

It was regarded as a flop at the time.
Its that man again!!
I'd like to see Stallone do a Cobra sequel.

It is really an unspeakable crime against humanity that two of my favourite movies of all time, Cobra and Commando have not got a sequel! It would be a pretty tall order to top them but anyway. I could use a Cobra "the cure" special edition blu ray with the supposed extra material inserted back in or at least as extras

"Why no sequel?"
If you accidentally bit into a s**t sandwich, would you go back for a second munch?
I remember the Boston Globe doing an article called "Snake Bit" the said that Stallone had had to back out of deal with Cannon because Cobra got poor reviews and didn't really do anything at the box office. They had a similar issue with the Raiders-ripoff called Alan Quartermain, which did have a sequel that just tanked. At the time (mid to late 80's) Cannon was kind of slowing down, so they (and the public) didn't exactly cry for not getting Cobra 2.
