Wow, did that kid have a huge collection of G.I. Joe or what??? I wonder if Fred Savage was allowed to keep them after filming wrapped.

That was a good time for GI Joe. From what I can tell, kids don't seem to get and play with toys like that anymore. It's mostly adults and the industry caters to them and their nostalgia with high priced multiple collections. All the kids I knew at the time who were into GI Joe had lots of figures and vehicles. Maybe it was because the figures and vehicles weren't as expensive as they are now.

I begged & pleaded for the aircraft carrier and my parents logic was that it wasn't built to scale where a couple of the fighter jets would fit on it so it'd be a waste of money. It was probably the fact that it REALLY was a toy priced over $100 in the 1980's lol

I had a friend that had the AC. It was useless. A giant plastic playset that took up half the room.

The Defiant was better.

Gi joe made great toys back then

The aircraft carrier and space shuttle were huge.
I had the mobile defense vehicle, it was a 3 tier monster.
