Seatbelts
This film was released in 1986. Cars were required to have seatbelts as far back as the 1970s. But no one uses a seatbelt in this film. Odd.

shareAmericans hated seatbelts. They tried to force people to use them in the 70's when lots of cars wouldn't start unless the seatbelts were being used... I remember spending a hour or two disconnecting the black box under the seats to disconnect the crap. Then in the 80's at one point car had automatic seatbelts... people hated those as well... seatbelts are still not used by everyone. The younger drivers that have been brainwashed by the media where criminal trying to make a fast getaway still take the time to buckle up... but the truth is your car doesn't jump off the road into the nearest tree because you aren't buckled up. I can still see lots of people that don't wear them anytime I drive anywhere.
shareI wear seatbelts and would even if it wasn't required by law.
Air bags give me the creeps however.
not all films are set in the time that they are released
