Unintentinal Comedy

Damn...this film is full of unintentional comedy!!

How about the outfit Carla wears to the first wrestling match??

Or that speech about Pele by the chef??

I was rolling through the whole film.

I don't know why i was lauging during this scene. Maybe I enjoy watching paople get slapped around but , the scene were Kuch is getting slaped by his father was funny in a dark way. The speed at which his father was delivering the slapps is what did it for me. I mean, he must have landed 3 or 4 slaps in half a second, and Kuch is just standing there completely unphased. The part were Shoot is training is pretty hillarious also, he's climbing up the bleachers in wresling tights and carrying a huge log on his back, now that's a workout.

I think there was a lot of awkwardness in the movie, but I think it was supposed to be funny generally. I do, however, think that if you don't see the seriousness of the Pele scene, you've got issues. Maybe the part where Elmo says, "Yeah. That's right. I start crying," might be funny, but it's very serious at the same time.

How about the scene sniffing panties in laundry room?

I thought it was great when Louden did 5 push-ups in the hotel hallway right after the Tai Chi man tried to molest him!

If you thought that the speech about Pele was "comedy" instead of one of the most moving things ever said about the beauty of sport, well...words fail me.

i cracked up when Cootch admitted he wasn't even half indian, and that it was just something he made up. it was funny enough seeing him with those feathers in his hair

During the wrestle off with Louden Vs. Kooch, Otto is seen saying "Roll him over, Arch your shoulders." Just the way he is standing and looks pretty goofy, flexing his muscles but not trying to make it look obvious, in his belly shirt. lol.

All Of Elmo's Antics especially "A Cooze doctor in outerspace? man you're flippin out. or:
Louden: I can't, I'm in Love
Elmo: With who Kevin, maybe he can come back and take ya away from all this

and his talking about Pele's kick when he sais "It was pretty god damn glorious." But the rest of that speech is pure inspirational.

Kooch's dad slapping him around. "Ya Can't wrestle, You aint got the balls to fight an old man, you aint got the balls to fight an old man" Then Kooch pushes him back on the sofa. "you god damn punk"

Carla saying "Get A Good Eye-full" or "I guess some people just see you coming I guess, take one big look at you and say Oh Boy Fresh Meat"

Otto doing the peg climbing thing. And Forest Whitaker is taunting him.
"Ya, Ya losin it."

Louden's Dad: Beatin up on guys makes ya hungry"

I've watched this movie for over 20 years now and whenever I watch it, I start laughing at certain parts, maybe some parts people would just watch the scene, and not think about it, just some parts really grew on me.
Probably the best wrestling movie ever made.

Thanks for the fuqqin drinks pal- Donnie Brasco
