Anyone getting "Threads" vibes lately?
I mean with the Ukrainian situation and the increasingly hostile rhetoric from NATO countries and Russia since 2014...I am :-(

shareYep, me too 😕
shareRussia has hypersonic missiles that nothing we have can intercept. They don't need to use nuclear weapons to hit Washington DC if they wanted to. The US stupidly provoked this war and now Biden and the US government is trying to twist the narrative so that Americans don't really understand what is happening here.
shareNo. I'm getting vibes that western globalists are trying to start an unnecessary ground war between Russia and Ukraine -- but just enough to keep western society in a state of turmoil.
shareRussia has openly threatened to Nuke every country in the west at some point over the past 9 Months because of his disaster he created in Ukraine.. Putin needs to give these old flicks a rewatch because he may have lost touch with reality.

shareNo, but I'll tell you what - two films of that era made an impact - "Threads" and "The Day After". At that point in time, 1983-84 - the biggest scare was nuclear war with the Soviets. I was a teenager at that point - and, although we didn't walk around talking about nuclear war all the time - the possibility was in the air.
It seems to me, cooler heads prevail today. I just don't see things going that far (full scale nuclear war).
Anyway, back to "Threads" - interestingly enough, one took a look at it recently. So they say, "Threads" is a very realistic take on what actually would happen during and after nuclear war.
I thought it was very good.
Yes. Scary headlines every day it seems.
