The extended funeral scene is the only thing I prefer about the director's cut.

The rest gets a nay from me.

Even the removal of that ridiculous robot?

They need some extended montages in this baby.

The editing was horrible in the DC. Was Stallone high? So glad the original is the original.

reply

Yeah I really enjoyed the robot scenes which were pivotal to the plot and the son explaining to the dumb audience that it’s his dad on the tv screen in case we forgot and wanted a cheesy cringe pie for lunch…..oh wait never mind, I prefer the version aimed at adults instead of the watered down version aimed at children who watched “Alf” and thought that “Chuck E Cheese” Pizza was “The Bomb” and “Cowabunga!!!!!”.

Saw it last night. The OG isn't fresh on my mind enough to notice all the changes except for the stupid robot scenes. I liked it.

Seriously, I mean it turns out what I thought took place in a very grounded universe is actually a Sci-fi film.

The Director's cut is a prime example of why editing of a movie should be left to the film editor.

Everything that made the original good and of it's time is changed or removed, even the funeral scene what Tony said didn't seem to make much sense.

it was an interesting watch and glad I visited it but I will be staying with the original for future watches.

reply

Really? I liked every single change in the directors cut.
