She had the right sort of look for the film 'Red Sonja', at least back then. These days, you'd probably want someone like Kate Beckinsale or Noomi Rapace... although they'd likely cast Megan Fox or Lindsay Lohan!

But then Red Sonja isn't a serious film, anyway. This is one you crack out the beer and popcorn for!

Nielsen was iconic enough in Beverly Hills Cop 2, albeit somewhat wooden and stilted. Same as her bad-guy boss, but that *was* the 80s. Dean Stockwell upstaged them both.
Now, if the bad guy had been Alan Rickman level.... :-)


As for real life, I've never met her. I have heard some bad things and I think she ruined herself with the obvious plastic surgery, but she did at least check into rehab... Plus, although she's not a mainstream star, at least she has had work. I just wish Jan-Michael Vincent had been as fortunate.
