Better than expected!

This was better than you might expect for this kind of movie. It was fun, had some nice nudie shots of both gals and guys, and some wacky hijinks. It was silly and goofy, but enjoyable for what it was. There are definitely far worse 80s sex comedies than this. I would rate Private Resort a 6/10.

It arguably has the best and biggest assortment of beautiful women of practically any film, not just this genre. The message about finding the right one woman who's beautiful inside and out is good, but there was a little too much sleaze to endure for me (but that's just me).

Most 80s sex comedies are unwatchable. For every Porky's there's like 10 Hot Chili's. This one is actually kind of fun.

Surprisingly quite refreshing considering the movies of today. I saw it for the first time tonight and thought it was not bad at all.

I can't believe someone of Johnny Depps reputation would do a low budget sex comedy like this

reply

Well it was when he was just starting out, and he's probably done worse movies since then, you just don't hear about them.

Thanks for clarifying

Agreed, a solid 5/10 for me, considering the first 20-30 mins was really good. The rest of the movie was a bit bland, however.

This was far more enjoyable than I expected. I'd always been vaguely aware of it due to Johnny Depp being on the cover art, but figured it was some movie he was barely in that then chose to highlight his involvement because he became a big name. But aside from the fact he's actually one of the main character (Rob Morrow seems more like the lead), this was fun. Beautiful ladies, great 80's fashions/swimsuits, some decent humor. All very predictable, but all fun. It delivers just what you want in a T&A flick.
