mauser vs. harris

oh man capt harris all the way

Harris in PA1 is definitely the superior character. He's not really meant to be likeable per se, but appreciated in high regard as a worthy villain type character with a lot of humour indirectly driven through him. He's a hard ass with some great lines and impeccable delivery. Shame they turned him into a bumbling fool in the later sequels; way worse treatment than Mauser ever received by the writers. Mauser wasn't quite as memorable as the original Harris, although he was a different type of character anyway. Less of a hard ass and more of a greaseball ass kisser trying to get ahead at the expense of others, which is essentially what they turned Harris into in the later sequels, in addition to being a complete buffoon unfortunately.

I prefer Mauser with Proctor because I thought those two were great together, plus the movies Mauser appeared with Proctor were better than the movies with Harris appearing with Proctor.

G.W. Bailey is iconic as Harris. I don't even remember Mauser.

Both were such good characters...
