the Italian opera moment with Chunk on the highway. i dont get it

anyone here into that opera crap or whatever?

I really dont get the scene where Chunk and that one Fratelli brother are singing some Italian or Russian opera on the highway.

There supposed to be some kind of Italian in joke or something?

He was a trained opera singer in real life, so they just incorporated that into the film. It’s a great scene!

you think someone that was 5 years old at the time when Goonies was in theaters back then you expected them to go to a frikkin opera?

Back then i was more into Star Wars and G.I. Joe and Transformers and watching violent horror movies.

They were entertaining me and i turned out fine. I have no interest in damn opera
