Amanda Bearse playing a high schooler at age 27?

She looked older than a high school chick (bad casting)

Hm.... apparently they started shooting in December of '84, and Amanda Bearse was born in August of '58. That would've made her 26 at the time of filming. I thought she was okay- she had to play a vampire, so I guess they wanted someone with more experience.

I think she could've passed for about 18. She's mature in some aspects and still a bit on the childish side in others. That's what makes a teen a teen. Besides, there are plenty of movies with actual teens in them and even preteens. Such actors probably undergo at home schooling anyway.

No way she or the male lead could've passed for teens they both looked like second year graduate students. Probably why there were no scenes at actual high school. They'd look like teacher assistants

In that sport jacket and button down shirt? He reminded me of my history teacher. Of course I was still in junior high school when this movie came out so maybe that was the style.
