Does anybody have any idea whether this Roy the paramedic is named after Roy the paramedic in the TV show Emergency!? The name is just uncommon enough to make me wonder whether it's a coincidence, but does anybody actually know?

The two did remind me of Roy and Jonny a bit.

I never watched Emergency.

And...

Roy was not a paramedic.

Roy was the Ambulance Driver.
