This is THE 1980s soundtrack, ever! Thomas Dolby or Herbie Hancock must have written it. All electronic, nothing else.

I always thought the Pointer Sisters were on the soundtrack because they were on so many '80s soundtracks. Apparently, I was remembering "Bit by Bit" by Stephanie Mills and Harold F.

During the driving scene when Fletch arrives in Utah, "A Letter to Both Sides" is playing by The FIXX on the car radio .
