Worst? Never ceases to amaze me that something so go good can go over peoples heads. Yeah its special effects are a bit tired, but the acting and story are finely done.

I found this movie to be extremely boring.I only could tolerate 45 minutes of this crap movie before I turned it off.I must say that the special effects were pretty good for a movie made in the 80's It's one of the worst movies I have ever seen(and I've seen alot of movies before this one)

Yes, I am sure that if the child was crushed at the end and the Quaid character spent the rest of his life wandering the galaxy and looking for him, then eventually blew his brains out...

...it would be a great movie.

Go away and get back to watching Little Nicky or Home Alone 3. That's about your speed.

Obviously you've also never seen HOUSE OF THE DEAD - which is a far cry from a good adaptation from video game into movie...
I actually found this to be very good. Louis Gosset, JR. for one, I believe wholeheartedly, was very believable in his role as an alien - having to make up how his character would walk, getting down the dialect, his behavior/tics ...
Some of the acting at TIMES seemed a little over the top, but um - this is a Sci-Fi. Sometimes the acting in Sci-Fi's come out just a little over played..
There are times that "overacting" is overlooked by me though... so maybe it's just me, but I have to say that this is NOT the worst movie *I've* ever seen.
