I know this thread is old, but still responding...
Given the time period, I'm sure he's referring to syphilis. The reason he calls it "that nasty women's disease" is because he's saying that only "nasty" (promiscuous) women are capable of getting & spreading the disease. In addition, old Mr is a misogynist like Albert, so of course he's going to hold women solely responsible for spreading "nasty" diseases.
