Allison looked better before the style change
I think the rougher look suited her better.
shareI know a lot of people say that the character was a sell out but in my opinion the look wasn't that important it was the characters attitude that is what made her who she was and she still retained who she was without the black clothes and the tons of mascara. I mean I think they just wanted to show that Alison had let her walls down and wasn't afraid to let people in. Alison already owned those clothes and In her letting Claire do her makeup she was letting her have a bonding experience with her which isn't something she would have done at the beginning. The make over wasn't really anything big all she did was pull her hair out of her face take off the black eye makeup and put on the clothes she already had with her.
shareDisagree. I like when they take the time and effort in their appearance. The rough look did have some appeal...lol....but the makeover did wonders for her appearance and likely her self esteem as well.

I think she looked better before. A little mysterious but ready to be friendly if necessary.
Even after the change she was still preferable to Claire IMVHO!

Fortunately Allison's ridiculous makeover lasted only until she got home from detention.
shareI think the general consensus is that Allison looked wrong after that 'make over'.
shareI don't think her looks even matter at this point.
Her character was awesome and very well written. She's great regardless.
Just saw it again today and I am convinced the makeover was only in there to bond her with Claire. It had nothing to do with her looks.
shareShe looked fine both ways, but I definitely prefer the first look. Rougher and sexier, very attractive. The dark make up looked great on her.

She looked nicer, but not necessarily better. Know what I'm saying?
Whether Claire changed Allison's look so she could feel better about herself or fit in with the crowd (I'll go with the former), I do believe Allison needed to try something different. But yeah, I too find her more unique and sexy with her original look.
I was looking for a thread on Allison to say exactly this. I would have been all over pre-makeup Allison in high school and college. I fell in love with her awkwardness, I guess because I was a bit like her back then.
