So, I was really looking forward to watching this since it's supposed to be an iconic early-Cusack film... but what a load of crap. The acting was horrendous, the jokes were mind-numbingly lame, and the plot was weak. In my opinion this is up there with Teen Witch as one of the worst films ever made in the 80's. It's not even worth watching for nostalgic value. I had to constantly fight the urge to turn it off, which is very rare for me. I completely understand why Cusack has tried to distance himself from this one. 2/10!!

You're right on the money about this movie. Of all the crappy 80's movies, this is the crappiest. It was so stupid. The over the top clichés were annoying. I can't blame John Cusack for hating this turd of a movie.

How could it possibly be nostalgic for you if you never even saw it until now? 

I liked it
It was supposed to be a "B" comedy but did better than was expected. I just wish I could find it to record it..oh well

I love this movie. Everytime I watch it, it never fails at making me smile or laugh out loud.

You're right on the money. The 80s had many great teen flicks but this one is so dumbed down and ridiculous. You'd think a 6 year old wrote it.

South Park did an episode called "Aspen" in season 6 where they mercilessly trash this movie good.

Saw the film for the first time yesterday. I really liked the film, is very funny. 9/10

I think here in South America people have forgotten a lot of 80's classics, like this one which is not part of the most famous mainstream classics of the 80's, I have a very long list of 80's films to watch that I'm still discovering, I'm having such a good time, I also saw this last couple of weeks: Class of 1984, Class of 1999, Miracle Mile, good movies. :)
