How Back To The Future Would Change If Jennifer Went To 1955 With Marty

Back to the Future deals a lot with alternate timelines and changes to history, so how might events differ if Marty brought Jennifer with him to 1955?

It might have changed things a lot cause if she was there with him the whole time, she might have gone up to Loraine's father after he ran over Marty and told him she and him were together. Thus, Loraine is unable to ask him to the dance cause he already has a girlfriend. Of course, it still would have the premise of needing to get Loraine and George together. But a lot of the other conflict involving Marty and Loraine would basically not exist.

Jennifer has a BIG problem with a lot of the stuff which girls are expected to do in the 1950's.

First off in the 1980s....she's walking around in leggings and sneakers....now she has to wear a dress and heels every day.

I can see why they ditched this to avoid appearing slapstick.

My wife was a career woman (now retired). We were watching an old movie and my wife said she would have loved to stay home and wear pearls and heels every day..

Jennifer might have adapted quickly and indeed, she might have liked it.

she might not have liked it if she actually had to do it. It's hard to walk in heels including in muddy ground, uneven pavement. 'Staying home' still means you ran unpaid errands. It wasn't easy.

And then there's the issue of 'sanitary belts....which Jennifer would also have to deal with in 1955. Much harder to use than adhesive pads. Granted the pads they had in 1985 were still the size of a truck compared to now but....

Yeah, nothing against the character of Jennifer, but I don't see how it would've improved the movie any.
