shareI agree.Everytime I watch those are the ones I really enjoy. I think the pilot was well done. I think Van Dam did excellent as a man trying to find out about his twin. Another was the once and future King with Elvis.
shareI think all these episodes would have been met with Mr. Serling's approval. What I especially liked about the '80s series was that some stories like "The Burning Man" were only ten minutes long. Had it been twice that length, the length the majority of the episodes of the original series were, I think it would have felt padded (not unlike, say, "The Invaders"), undermining the wonderful spell the story casts; it's a spell that makes one feel not unlike Donna Hayward of "Twin Peaks" fame: "It's like I'm having the most beautiful dream ... and the most terrible nightmare, all at once." A very underrated episode in a sadly overlooked series.

"The Shadow Man" with Peter Coyote was better than the original and so was "The Night of the Meek".
"The Hellgrammite Method" is the only good episode of the 3rd season.
"Shelter Skelter" should be mandatory viewing these days...
A Message from Charity - This is my single favorite episode in the entire TZ franchise. It's a beautiful and moving love story and coming of age tale with an interesting twist on both the telepathic link and the time travel genre. The ending moves me to tears every time I watch it.
